Nelson Schäller was born in Lisbon, 1982. He studied at Academia de Música de Santa Cecília and received musical training until the 9th grade. At the age of 15 he started to play guitar as a self-taught and later took his first steps in music composition using classical and electronic instruments.
In the area of audio he has been involved in several musical projects: soundtracks, sound design, jingles, audio mixing and recording. In the area of video he produced short films, documentaries, television spots, institutional, corporate, educational and scientific videos.
Nelson holds a Degree in Communication Sciences, a Master’s in Audiovisual and Multimedia and took also other specializations in the fields of communication: audio, design, photography, video, motion graphics, multimedia, new media and web.
Since his graduation, Nelson has dedicated his life to his passion, leading different activities and roles in the world of Digital Media Communication, as a Content Creator & Strategist, Creative, Director, Cinematographer, Producer, Composer, Sound and Video Editor, Motion Designer 2D/3D, Photographer and Interactive Designer.
Currently, Nelson works at FCT-FCCN (Foundation for Science and Technology) in the advanced video services, as a Project Manager and Senior Audiovisual and Multimedia Specialist.
During the last years he has been involved in several educational projects for the portuguese academic community, developing skills in e-learning, videoconferencing, video streaming services, lecture recording and open educational resources.
